A Peek-DNS alternative for teams that check migrations

Peek-DNS is a free, no-account preview link that launched in July 2026. DNSPeek is free to start too, and adds what a migration needs after the first look: accounts and teams, an API, QA crawls, live and visual compares with the live site, and DNS alerts.

Where Peek-DNS is ahead

  • No account at all

Peek-DNS never asks for an email. DNSPeek gives you one guest link without an account; more links need a free account.

  • Pay per link, only when you need it

A password or a custom name is a one-off dollar or two on one link, with no subscription.

  • Longer single links without a subscription

A Peek-DNS link lives 7 days after its last visit and can be extended to 90 days for a one-off fee. A free DNSPeek link also lives 7 days after its last visit, but stops 30 days after it is created; longer needs a paid plan.

When DNSPeek fits better

Read what previews can’t do on the limitations page, and how we handle your data on the trust page.

  • Password and custom names included

Both are free on every DNSPeek plan, on as many links as you like.

  • You work in a team or for clients

Workspaces with seats: from Agency, up to 25 seats on Provider. Links live in a workspace with spaces, so the next person can find them.

  • You automate migrations

REST API v1 on Pro and up, CSV import and a GitHub Action.

  • You check the migration, not just look at it

QA crawls, live and visual compares with the live site, and an alert when DNS has switched.

Questions, answered

More in the docs FAQ.

Do I need an account to use DNSPeek?

Not for your first link: a guest link works without signing up and lasts up to 7 days, one at a time. A free account gives you unlimited links, password protection and custom names.

Are password protection and custom names extra on DNSPeek?

No. Both are included on every plan, the free one too.

Are DNSPeek previews indexed by search engines?

No. Every response from a preview link carries an X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow header, whatever the site itself sends.

What does DNSPeek cost?

Free plan; paid plans from $9 a month. Paid plans add non-expiring links, DNS propagation alerts, visual compares and more QA reports.
