Get client sign-off before launch
Send one link that shows the client’s site on the new server. They pin comments and approve the launch without an account, and you share a QA report under your agency’s name.

From preview link to signed-off launch
Everything a client review needs sits on the preview itself, so nobody has to install anything or learn a new tool.
- Step 01
Pinned client comments
AgencyYour client clicks on the preview where something looks wrong and leaves a note. No account, no screenshots by email.
- Step 02
An “Approve launch” button
AgencyWhen they are happy, they approve the launch from the preview. You get an email with who approved it, when, and their note.
- Step 03
Branded QA report
AgencyCrawl the site on the new server for broken pages, missing files and mixed content, and share the report under your agency’s name.
- Step 04
Visual compare with the live site
ProScreenshots of the live site and the new server side by side at desktop and mobile widths, with a pixel diff of what changed.
What changes for your team
An illustrative example, not a customer story: the same migration, with and without client review on the preview.
- The job
- A small studio moves a client’s online shop from shared hosting to a faster server. The shop has to keep selling during the move.
- Before
- Last time, the client saw the new site only after DNS moved. A broken checkout page and a wrong logo turned launch day into an evening of fixes.
- This time
- The studio sends the client one preview link. The client pins a comment on a product page and another on the footer, the studio fixes both, and the client presses Approve launch.
- Launch
- DNS moves on a quiet morning. The studio forwards the branded QA report, and the approval email settles any later question about what was agreed.
Move sites without surprises

Questions, answered
Short answers here; each links to the full guide where there is one. All questions
Can my client open the preview without an account?
Yes. Anyone with the link can open it, on a computer or a phone. Add a password to limit who can see it. On the Agency and Provider plans clients can also leave comments and approve the launch without an account.
Is DNSPeek free?
Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited preview links, password protection, one-off DNS checks, one QA report and three live compare sessions a month; its links last 7 days from the last visit, up to 30 days. Paid plans start at $9 a month and add non-expiring links, DNS propagation alerts, visual compares and more QA reports.
Does it work with WordPress?
Yes. Keep the WordPress and Site Address set to your real domain; DNSPeek sends requests for that domain to the new server, so you can browse the site and sign in to wp-admin on the preview.
How can I preview a website before changing DNS?
Create a DNSPeek link with your domain and the new server’s IP address. The link opens your site as served by the new server, in any browser, while public DNS still points at the old one.
Can DNSPeek change anything on my server?
DNSPeek only forwards the requests visitors make on the preview. Anything they do there, like signing in, submitting a form or placing an order, really happens on the new server, just as it would on the live site.
Send your next client a link, not a checklist
Start with a free preview link. Comments, approval and branded reports come with the Agency plan.
